The NUK™ Massager Brush is a specialized sensory and oral-motor tool rather than a traditional toothbrush. It is designed to support infants and toddlers during their transition to solid foods by providing tactile exploration and gum stimulation.
- Feeding Therapy: The soft, nubby head is designed to hold small tastes of purees, liquids, or soft crumbs, allowing it to function as an introductory “spoon”.
- Sensory Desensitization: Often recommended for children with oral hypersensitivity or oral defensiveness.
- Oral Motor Development: Helps improve mouth coordination and awareness of the lips, tongue, and cheeks.
- Teething Relief: The textured surface gently massages gums to soothe teething discomfort.
- Cleaning: Wash by hand using hot, soapy water and a mild detergent after each use.
- What to Avoid: It is NOT dishwasher or microwave safe. High heat and detergents in dishwashers can damage the materials (craton and polypropylene).
- Sterilization: Some versions can be sterilized using steam or cold water methods, but always check specific packaging for your model.
- Replacement: To maintain hygiene and safety, replace the brush every 3–4 months of normal use, or immediately if you notice signs of wear or damage.
