Stage 2 Pen Control Training Book

Stage 2 builds on the basic pencil movements introduced in Stage 1, adding a little more thinking and coordination to the activity.

With 48 pages of dot-to-dot drawing activities, children follow numbered or guided dots, find the next point, connect them in the correct order and work towards creating recognisable shapes and pictures.

This stage provides practice with visual tracking, sequencing, hand control and concentration, while encouraging the child to pay attention to where their pencil needs to go next.

Instead of simply practising individual lines, your child is now using those developing pencil-control skills to follow a sequence, stay on track and create something meaningful.

It’s a natural next step from basic strokes to more purposeful drawing and pre-writing practice.
